The Robotics Launches Environmental Campaign Using ‘Botbox’ at Sunset Marathon
– Promoting Sustainability Through Robot-Powered Cleanup and Collaboration with Mybeet
Industrial robotics company The Robotics Co., Ltd. announced on the 23rd that it deployed its flagship product botbox at the Sunset Marathon (hosted by MBN) held on May 19 on Yeongjong Island, Incheon. The company led an environmental cleanup campaign using robots at the event site.
This marks the first campaign of its kind by The Robotics, where the botbox—equipped with autonomous following technology—assisted in waste collection throughout the venue.
The initiative naturally engaged the public while encouraging ESG practices. Acting as a mobile trash bin, botbox allowed marathon participants and citizens to voluntarily sort and dispose of waste, raising awareness of environmental responsibility.
Botbox is an advanced transport robot that autonomously follows a human operator.
Through this event, The Robotics demonstrated its versatility, showing that botbox can be applied beyond agriculture, logistics, and construction—proving its potential in everyday settings.
At the event booth, The Robotics also hosted a collaboration event with non-caffeinated energy drink brand Mybeet.
Made from natural beet ingredients and completely caffeine-free, Mybeet is safe for pregnant women and children.
Provided as a convenient boost drink for participants, it was met with enthusiastic response.
CEO Dongwoo Kang of The Robotics stated,
“It was meaningful to carry out an environmental cleanup with citizens using botbox during the marathon. Botbox is more than just a robot—it’s a solution that moves with people and delivers social value. We will continue to promote botbox’s capabilities at various public events and help integrate robotics into everyday life.”
