The Robotics Signs MOU with Taiwan’s JYEN HERR ENTERPRISE CO., LTD
- Officially Launches Entry into Taiwan’s Agricultural Robot Market

Industrial robotics company The Robotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Dongwoo Kang) announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with JYEN HERR ENTERPRISE CO., LTD, a Taiwanese company specializing in weed control machinery, to develop and expand the supply of robotics technology in Taiwan's agricultural market.

The Robotics is a startup that commercialized Korea’s first follower-type transport robot, botbox, and develops eco-friendly and safety-conscious robotic solutions based on appropriate technologies for human use. Botbox features autonomous driving technology that detects and follows the operator’s movement automatically and can traverse rough terrain, making it suitable for agriculture, logistics, construction, and other industrial fields.

JYEN HERR is a well-established agricultural machinery company in Taiwan with over 27 years of history, particularly recognized for its expertise in weed control equipment.
Responding to the growing demand for agricultural automation, the company has been actively exploring collaboration with The Robotics and its botbox solution.

Since the first export of botbox to Taiwan in December 2024, the two companies have continued field testing and technical exchanges.
With the signing of this MOU, they aim to further strengthen their strategic partnership and broaden the scope of cooperation.

The agreement includes joint efforts in:

  • Developing robot technologies tailored to Taiwan’s agricultural environment,

  • Co-planning and distributing localized products,

  • Establishing A/S and technical training systems.

CEO Dongwoo Kang of The Robotics stated,

“This MOU serves as a significant stepping stone for entering the broader Asian agricultural market. Through close cooperation with our local partner, we will continue to strengthen our technologies and services to lead the automation and efficiency of Taiwan’s agriculture.”

Meanwhile, JYEN HERR exhibited botbox for the first time at the 2025 TIAMM (Taiwan International Agricultural Machinery & Materials Exhibition) on April 19, signaling its strategic move into Taiwan’s agricultural robotics market. Based on its partnership with JYEN HERR, The Robotics is accelerating the entry of botbox into Taiwan, laying the groundwork for expansion into global agricultural robot markets.
